Painted & Oak Kitchen

Made of American Popular with painted panel doors, drawers and cupboards, with solid oak worktops and oak trim to the shelves. The kitchen is fully fitted with great attention being paid to the way the units sit into the old cottage walls. All drawers are dovetail jointed and run on soft close runners.

The centre island made in painted poplar with solid oak tops, has a range of drawers, including cutlery drawers and deep pan storage drawers all fitted with soft close runners. The island is also designed with fitted pull out basket storage, two cupboards and open ended bookshelves with plenty of electric appliance sockets.

The worktop cupboards have bi-folding doors that fold right back so the whole space can be used as an additional work space with a range of appliance sockets and under shelf lighting.

There is an oak wine rack conveniently built into the units above the fridge and the large cooker extraction hood has an oak shelf mounted on oak corbels and LED lights fitted at floor level into the kitchen kick backs throughout.

The biggest challenge with this kitchen was the scribing and fitting the units to the very curved walls of the house - there was not one straight line within the whole kitchen!

We were lucky to find such an accomplished craftsman so local to us. We had quite a specific vision and Eddie was able to achieve all our requirements with high quality old school workmanship to give us a truly bespoke kitchen, whilst remaining friendly and positive even when faced with our existing walls — not a straight one to be found!
